Constructed of high-quality annealed steel, the Base Plate allows for precise die-cutting of intricate Sizzix Thinlits dies in the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines. With the Base Plate, you can cut through many different materials, including burlap, craft plastic, craft metal, fabric, aluminium, canvas, lightweight suede and thin cork. The Precision Base Plate allows most intricate Thinlits dies to be cut in a single pass through the machine.
Combine the Multipurpose Platform or the Essentials Platform with the Extended Adapter or the Solo Platform & Shim with the Solo Adapter or the Magnetic Platform with the Precision Base Plate (on the bottom of the die) and a Cutting Pad (on top of the die) and roll through the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines to die-cut. This may sound complicated but do not panic, the diagrams on the Platforms offer easy guidelines about how to make the perfect Sizzix sandwich.
The Precision Base Plate measures 10" x 6¼" x ⅛" and lasts for thousands of cuts.
Only the metal side of the Precision Base Plate is meant to come in contact with the dies.
The plastic side of the Precision Base Plate should not be used for cutting, but offers helpful hints about Sizzix sandwiching.
